Grateful Heart Award

Many times, when hearing the words, “Thank You,” our staff respond by saying, “You’re welcome, but I am just doing my job.”

And they’re right, they are doing their job, but to you-the patient or loved one-the job they have done has made this journey one that is easier, and their care has impacted you in such a positive way that you want to express your gratitude.

While it has been our privilege to care for you, we also respect your need to have an outlet to express your gratitude, and the Grateful Heart Award provides a way for you to do just that. Patients and families are invited to nominate staff who they would like to recognize for a job well done.

The Grateful Hearts Program helps you celebrate the great care you received at Niagara Hospice. You can nominate a staff member for the Grateful Heart Award. This award is given to a Niagara Hospice staff member quarterly, however, all staff who are nominated are also recognized. Awardees receive a special pin and gift card.
