Special Events summer intern position
position will play an integral role in fundraising for Niagara Hospice throughout the course of the summer. A
college student with career goals in the fundraising, event planning, marketing and public
relations fields will receive work experience through this workership. This opportunity will expose the
student to hospice care with emphasis on educating the community about the
services the agency provides, as well as help raise funds to help support
Niagara Hospice services. The student will be involved in the planning and
execution of fundraisers during the summer. Duties and responsibilities may
include, but are not limited to:
- Updating and maintaining records and
databases for sponsors and event attendees
- Creating flyers and posters for upcoming
- Speak with donors and potential sponsors
about upcoming fundraisers
- Create display boards and brochures for events
- Provide clerical assistance as needed
Applicants must be
enrolled or planning to attend college for the Fall 2015 semester and their
permanent residence must be in eastern Niagara County. Necessary skills include
graphic design, writing, multitasking, and superior telephone etiquette.
