Pre-K Students Raise Money for Niagara Hospice

Mon, Dec 10th 2018 12:00 pm
During the time of year when children start thinking about what they want for Christmas, pre-K students at St. Peter's R.C. School learned giving can be fun as well. Students in Mrs. Shanks's pre-K 3 and Mrs. Ryan's pre-K classes created a giving tree to raise money for Niagara Hospice.
Thirty-five students participated by selling "leaves" for the tree for $1 each. The leaves were hung on the tree that is displayed at the school. The students donated the $240 they raised to Niagara Hospice.
The classes also created ornaments for the Niagara Hospice Christmas tree displayed at the New York Power Authority Festival of Trees.
