In late August, Niagara Hospice patient Duesalina Kifer celebrated her 100th birthday with friends and family under Niagara Hospice's brand new Dominic Lariccia Family Pavilion. Pictured is centenarian Duesalina who is joined by her two sisters, Geraldine Corsaro (top left) and Liz Amato (top right). The birthday party was the first patient celebration under the new pavilion, which was officially opened on August 16th for Niagara Hospice's 25th Anniversary Gala Under the Stars.

The pavilion was built to add outdoor gathering spaces for families of Niagara Hospice House residents as well as to provide shelter for outdoor events such as the annual Memorial Butterfly Release held each July and Memorial Garden Dedications.

The next Niagara Hospice Memorial Garden Dedication will take place on Tuesday, October 22 at 6:00pm. Call the Niagara Hospice Alliance events department at 280-0766 for more information.
