News & Events October 20, 2008 « Back To News MOTHER'S DAY WALK HELPS HOSPICE Over 600 participants took part in the 12th Annual Mother’s Day Breast Cancer Canal Walk (MDBCCW) last May at Widewaters Marina in Lockport. The walk raises funds for Mary’s Room – a wig room at the American Cancer Society – and for other charitable organizations that provide research, education and support services for breast cancer victims and their families. Niagara Hospice is honored to be counted among those charities. Accepting a $5,000 donation from MDBCCW Chair Rebecca Kelly (R) is Niagara Hospice President & CEO, John Lomeo.
