| HOSPICE AND PALLIATIVE CARE BOARDS ELECTED |

 The Hospice and Palliative Care Group, Inc. (HPCG) President and CEO, John Lomeo, has announced the 2009 through 2010 HPCG and Niagara Hospice boards of directors.
The following community leaders and volunteers have been re-elected to one year terms. Elected officers to the HPCG board are Chairman Paul Collins of M and T Bank; Vice President Dan Mandaville; Secretary Thomas Hewner of Cole, Sorrentino, Hurly & Hewner, PC; directors are James Shaw, DDS; Andrea Sammarco, Esq.; Steven Sinclair; and Frank Maietta.
 Elected officers to the Niagara Hospice board are Chairman Paul Collins; Vice President Steven Sinclair of The Wright Investment Group; Secretary Andrea Sammarco, Esq. of the Law Office of Sammarco, Mattacola & Sammarco; and Treasurer James Shaw, DDS of Lockport Dental Group. Directors re-elected to one year terms are Paul Beatty, Sr., Patricia Evans, Linda Flessel, RN, Nicholas Granchelli, Sharon Jean Hewner, PhD, Janice Litz, LCSW-R and Dan Mandaville. Newly elected board members are Frank DeMart of North Tonawanda and Eugene Nenni of Lockport.
Entering its 21st year of providing care to Niagara County residents, Niagara Hospice has served over 13,000 individuals as well as their immediate and extended families. Hospice is specialized care for the terminally ill that also provides support services to family members. Services are provided in the home, in all Niagara County nursing homes and hospitals, in adult homes and assisted living facilities, and at Niagara Hospice House. Hospice services include physical, emotional, spiritual and bereavement care. Hospice care is appropriate for any advanced stage illness where the prognosis is a life expectancy of approximately six months or less.
