Corporation of Wheatfield recently presented Niagara Hospice with $8,060 that
they raised largely through a Chiavetta's barbeque. This is the second year
that Viatran has hosted a Chiavetta's fundraiser to support the programs and
services of Hospice. This summer they topped their 2011 donation by $3,000 and
are hoping to raise even more next year. "Without donations like this we
wouldn't be able to go above and beyond for our patients and families, as our
staff often do," states Special Events Coordinator Mandy Raff. "We are so
grateful to Viatran employees for their hard work and continued support."
Niagara Hospice has provided end-of-life comfort, care, and support
since 1988 to over 20,000 Niagara County individuals and families faced with
terminal illness. No one is ever denied hospice care due to inability to pay.
