The comfort
of a quilt or blanket can not only keep us warm, but it may also bring back fond memories
of days gone by, or admiring thoughts of the person who crafted it for us. We
know someone put many hours into creating it for us and can appreciate their
gifted skills.
Niagara Hospice is fortunate to have gifted volunteers who craft
quilts and afghans for hospice patients. However, more volunteers are needed.
Niagara Hospice volunteers ask that any crafters in the community please
consider joining their cause to ensure each patient receiving Niagara Hospice
services receives a handmade quilt or afghan.
Quilts are needed for men, women and veterans. Interested community volunteers are asked to contact Niagara Hospice volunteer Bernadette Ford at (716) 213-7480 to arrange pick-up or for more information.
Niagara Hospice has provided
end-of-life comfort, care and support since 1988 to over 20,000 Niagara County
individuals and families faced with terminal illness. No one is ever denied
hospice care due to ability to pay.
