Niagara Hospice and its supporters host dozens of events each year in order to be able to give our patients and their families the best care possible. Held annually in March right before the official beginning of spring, the Spring Bouquet Sale enlists the help of churches, businesses, schools and organizations throughout Niagara County to help sell beautiful, fresh bouquets of flowers. This event relies heavily on volunteers and our community partners to be successful. Become a pre-sale coordinator, a walk up sale location, or help deliver during the week of the sale. Hospice Gran Fondo
What is a Gran Fondo? A Gran Fondo is a type of ride that originated in Italy and translates to "Big Ride". Known as a "party on wheels", Gran Fondos offer food & refreshments along the route, and are followed by huge post-race parties. The Hospice Gran Fondo offers all that, plus so much more! Food and refreshments are available along the four routes, with several of the refreshment stops at various Niagara Wine Trail wineries. The wineries will also offer tastings and sell wine by the bottle at the post-race party. The post-race party at Chateau Niagara Winery will feature live music, draft beer, wine tastings, fruit, water, and more! The Hospice Gran Fondo is a family friendly event offering riders of all abilities the opportunity to ride along some of the most beautiful bike routes WNY has to offer. Greif is a process that can impact people of all ages, even children. And children grieve in different ways than adults do. Niagara Hospice has a special weekend camp that is designed to help children ages 7-13 deal with the loss of a loved one as children their ages do. Campers play, talk together about their losses, share emotions with others, and recognize that grief is a natural response to losing a loved one. Together, they learn ways to help themselves cope, as well as learn to help each other. Niagara Hospice is proud to offer this camp to children who have lost a loved one with or without hospice care. Jack Beatty Memorial Cruise and Clambake
A truly unique event, the Jack Beatty Memorial Cruise and Clambake is held every year in July at the Youngstown Yacht Club. Local skippers generously donate their boats to take you on a leisurely cruise up the Niagara River. Enjoy cocktails, hors d'oeuvres and live music while you're on-the-water. After the cruise, you will
return to the beautiful Youngstown Yacht Club for a fabulous clambake dinner and more live entertainment.
Memorial Butterfly Release
Let your memories take flight at our annual Memorial Butterfly Release. Held in July at the Niagara Hospice campus in Lockport, our guests enjoy music, refreshments, kid's activities and more! Families pre-order live monarch butterflies, as well as other memorial items, in memory of their loved ones. The butterflies are released together following a short ceremony conducted by Niagara Hospice staff. The beauty of the butterflies, symbolizing change and transition, create a healing moment for those who are grieving the loss of a loved one. To view photos from this event, click here.
Mighty Niagara Half Marathon / Niagara Hospice Dash 5K
The Mighty Niagara Half Marathon was first introduced by event
chairman Paul Beatty, Jr. in the fall of 2011 as the Hospice Dash Half
Marathon. The event was such a huge success that Niagara Hospice decided
to promote the race on a national level and make it our premier
annual event. Our dedicated race committee has gone to great lengths to
make sure that this is the one race you will want to mark on your
calendar year after year. This race offers it all: a pre-race concert, 15 to 20 live
bands, historic sites, beautiful views of the Niagara River and Lake
Ontario, post-race celebration, high-quality racing t-shirts, custom-made race medals to commemorate your great achievement, great food,

Our longest standing event, Cocktails & CA$H, presented by the Niagara Hospice Board of Directors, is an exciting night of
prizes and suspense! Cash prizes up to $5000 awarded through a reverse raffle, 50/50 split, huge basket auction, wheel of prizes and a Mills Jewelers diamond raffle! Tickets include dinner for 2, drinks and a chance to win cash prizes. To see photos from this event, click here.
Our annual December Light-a-Life Memorial Tree Lighting Ceremony offers families a chance to take a moment and reflect during the hustle & bustle of the season to focus on themselves and the grieving process. The holidays can be especially difficult for those who have lost someone close to them. The Niagara Hospice Bereavement Department coordinates the tree lighting ceremony that includes music, refreshments and a special photo slideshow.
